Mission members of Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) have visited Japan in the middle of September. The purpose of visit is the status survey of nuclear power generation in Japan and they visited JAIF (Japan Atomic Industrial Forum), METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), JAPCO (the Japan Atomic Power Company), JNES (Japan Nuclear Energy Safety Organization) and so on and exchanged opinions. Especially, discussions are focused on the legal system, legal administration, licensing, human resources development, regulations and guidelines on safety and earthquake resistance. Then mission member has visited manufacturing plants, Electricity exhibition facilities, Shimane Nuclear Power Station and Tsuruga Nuclear Power Station. They have expressed special thanks to this visit as well as Japanese cooperation toward Vietnam in the past and they also look forward to seeing Japanese continuous cooperation in the future.
